dear uefa,
the agenda of the match fixing investigation in turkey is turning into a frustrating scenario for all those that are demanding a clean game with clean players.
the turkish football federation invited the football general assembly, consisting merely of club representatives, to take the decision about the punitive measures that would apply to parties involved in the match fixing scandal. please don’t let the tff create a scenario in which the suspects will vote to decide their own punishment.
this meeting is disputed to result to the following club penalty amendments :
1. penalty for match-fixing would be relegation;
2. penalty for attempt to match-fixing would be deleting points;
3. penalty for incentive payments would be deleting points.
we can foresee that the next scenario would be to arouse a dispute whether the match-fixing attempts affected the game results, arguing that there is no evidence to such in the games, and therefore save the clubs in the league by giving them penalties for only attempting to match-fixing.
we want to kindly remind you that a wrong decision taken by the tff will set as a precedent case for the future and cause irreparable damages in football.
we sincerely believe in your zero tolerance approach.
save the beautiful game and give us hope for a fair turkish league.
